She has skyrocketed at dizzying speed since her track 'Jungle' made waves and gained enormouse exposure through Triple J's Unearthed. Her upcoming Melbourne show at The Northcote Social Club has already sold out, 'Jungle' has been used on television promos, and her second single 'Boy' shows just as much promise. Her name is Emma Louise, and we suggest you get used to hearing it.
Marked by the same steady drum backbone as 'Jungle', 'Boy' is otherwise a departure from the first single and shows a matured sound from Louise. It is reminiscent of Radiohead's sound on Amnesiac in its stretched out, synthesised strut. Louise's vocals are as strong as ever, but the melodic line sits further down her range than the falsetto heights 'Jungle' reached. We love it.
